Thursday Thirteen ~ Randomness



Thirteen Random things from my life lately

1. My mom and I are almost done with our bible study. It is kind of sad. We both enjoy doing it so much together but we are in different states and do it over the phone. Sometimes it gets a little hairy trying to coordinate schedules.

2. My dad had a day surgery the other day and is doing fine. PTL!!

3. My brother and dad are getting along well since the blow up about a month ago. My dad while out recovering is actually going to rent a convertible and him and my brother are gonna take off for a few days and see what they can get into. Will be great bonding time for them. I just Praise God that they made up and there is not separation among our family now.

4. My little cousin is getting married Saturday ( man time sure flies, I used to babysit her) and my mom is catering the event and soooo not looking forward to it. Why is it that doing things like that for family is so much harder? It always seems that way though.

5. I saw a dead body the other day covered in a sheet on the road on the way to work with no cars around it. That was freaky.

6. Gup,Astrosprincess,Fred, DSD and I all went to watch our new local pro ball team play and they won!!! Yeah. I don’t think they have won since though…lol

Autograph Hounds

7. Fred and DSD got autographs from just about every player. They had such fun doing it. I think the players were suckers for cute little girls wanting their autographs and were much obliged. DSD got to go up in the 7th inning stretch and sing take me out to the ball game on the loud speaker for everyone ( along with some other kids…but she was the loudest as always…she loved it!!

8. Fred had her 10th birthday party Saturday and DSD went. They had lots of fun swimming.

9. We have a store inspection next Monday so work has been a slightly more stressed than usual but not to horrible.

10. We have a new store manager and he is awesome so far. I am very excited about the change.

11. I have been working on altering a few things lately. One of them being an old spice rack that I found sitting in the garage collecting dust when Gup was cleaning it the other day, I got this great idea to use it to store scrapping embellishments. I will post pics when that project is done. I am also altering a container that held beads for the same thing. I will post those pics too when I get done with it.

12. Astrospriness and I are in a new duel. She got to pick it this time. It is altering a $3.00 Wal-Mart clock and we have to use supplies we already own. No buying anything at all, well except the clock of course.

13. I just realized the other day that Father’s Day is the 17th, and my MIL made plans for us to go to the ballet ( Astrosprincess,her two baby cousins, DSD and I along with MIL of course) and I didn’t snap to the fact that it was ON Father’s Day *sigh* Gup said he is ok with it but it upsets me that I didn’t realize and now half the afternoon we will be gone. Oh well maybe we can do something special Saturday night.

1. On Sears hair dryer:
Do not use while sleeping.

How exactly do you dry your hair in your sleep, is this a weird form of sleep walking?

2.On a bag of Fritos:
You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.

hmmmm, are they encouraging theft?

3. On Boot’s Children’s Cough Medicine:
Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication.

darnit, I was going to have my 9 year old drive me to the store after she used the chain saw to cut some wood up!!

4.On Nytol Sleep Aid:
Warning: May cause drowsiness.

Well I hope so or I am getting my money back for sure

5.On most brands of Christmas lights:
For indoor or outdoor use only.

um, where else exactly IS there to use them then?

6.On a Japanese food processor:
Not to be used for the other use.

Hmmmm, what is the other use? That is what I want to know.

Oh man, Fluffy sure does love getting baths because she looks so forward to this afterwards.

I found this cool music site from a fellow blogger, Dawn from Along the Broken Road, and decided to check it out. I really enjoy making play lists and searching to see if they have my favorites. It gets rather addicting actually. So since music is a love and passion of mine. I thought what better topic than music for a Thursday Thirteen right? Soooo, I made a play list of a few songs I like. It is by no means a favorites list nor is it close to all of them. I just tried to get a pretty wide range of genres to give you all a glimpse as to what I like. I had to pick only Thirteen so I was limited, you have to scroll the playlist to see all 13 songs. Maybe I can do another some time down the road. So do you know or like any of the ones in my list? Thursday Thirteen- Easter Edition



Thirteen verses from scripture that I love~celebrating Christ for Easter and everyday!

1. Jeremiah 29:13
